A perspectiva social das hepatites virais: Revisão de escopo

Resumo

Introdução: As hepatites virais são problemas de saúde que afetam milhões de pessoas, estão entre as principais causas de incapacidade e morte no mundo, e atingem distintos grupos sociais vulneráveis. Esse cenário levou a Organização Mundial da Saúde a incluir a redução dos casos e mortes por hepatites virais na agenda dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Objetivo: Mapear as pesquisas sobre hepatites virais com referenciais que explorem a perspectiva social da Saúde Coletiva. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão de escopo cujas buscas foram realizadas na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, na Scientific Electronic Library Online, na base de dados Scopus e na base de literatura cinzenta Google Acadêmico. Foram incluídas pesquisas nas línguas portuguesa, espanhola e inglesa, sem data-limite de publicação. Os dados foram extraídos por instrumento desenvolvido pelas autoras e submetidos à análise de conteúdo temática com apoio do software webQDA. Resultados: Foram selecionados 36 artigos para leitura. A partir da leitura na íntegra das publicações, emergiram três categorias empíricas: A perspectiva social no processo saúde-doença das hepatites virais; A expressão das categorias sociais no fenômeno das hepatites virais; As necessidades em saúde associadas às hepatites virais. Conclusões: A perspectiva social das hepatites virais é abordada pelos estudos de maneira incipiente e não é feita uma análise aprofundada dos potenciais de desgaste e de fortalecimento das populações pertencentes aos diferentes grupos sociais vulneráveis. A metodologia utilizada se mostrou adequada para analisar de maneira aprofundada as produções científicas, sobretudo aquelas que abordam a perspectiva social.
