The Volume 19 of the New Trends in Qualitative Research (NTQR) is dedicated to empirical studies presented at CIAIQ2023, focusing on Social Sciences. This special issue gathers innovative qualitative research, exploring themes such as family, education, governance, public security, health, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Among the highlighted articles, studies analyse gratitude to family as an expression of well-being in Peruvian university students, the factors influencing domestic violence complaints, and the challenges of qualitative research in a dialogic perspective.

Other contributions examine trust and information sharing in international police cooperation, the impact of sustainable hotel management in Algarve, and the role of governance in tourism activities. Studies on intelligence in entrepreneurship, risk perception, and team collaboration are also presented.

This issue also includes reflections on auto/biographical narrative research with feminist elderly women in Brazil, decolonial perspectives on disability and sexuality, and the application of data mining for sentiment analysis.
