Abstract
The Ibero-American Congress on Qualitative Research (CIAIQ), held in 2025 in a hybrid format (in person in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, and online), brought together researchers from different scientific fields, providing a plural space for reflection, sharing, and discussion around qualitative research. This article gathers all the abstracts presented at CIAIQ2025, showcasing the diversity of contexts, issues, and methods/techniques explored by the participants. The publication of these abstracts aims to contribute to the visibility of the multiple forms of applying qualitative research across different domains, including education, health, social sciences, psychology, management, arts, and technologies, among others, which benefit from the interpretative complexity offered by qualitative approaches. The works presented highlight the relevance of qualitative research as a privileged means to understand phenomena, capture human experiences, and explore social and cultural processes. Contributions are emphasised that reinforce the role of qualitative research as a methodological approach, deepening analytical practices and producing critical knowledge with academic and social impact. The compilation of abstracts presented here, published by New Trends in Qualitative Research (NTQR), constitutes a reference and source of inspiration for researchers, students, and professionals seeking to become acquainted with the state of the art of qualitative research in the Ibero-American space. By integrating works of different natures, this volume reinforces the commitment of CIAIQ and NTQR to promoting quality and diversity in qualitative research.
