Submission and Publication Fees

Each article submitted to NTQR is subject to a submission fee of €45. If the article is accepted, a publication fee of €395 will also be charged.

Justification for Charging Submission and Publication Fees

These fees are essential to cover the costs associated with the journal’s editorial process, namely:

Submission Fee (€45)
The submission fee is intended to cover the administrative and technical costs associated with the initial stage of the editorial process, including:

  • Management and maintenance of the submission system (OJS platform);

  • Preliminary editorial review to verify the article’s suitability for the scope and scientific criteria of NTQR;

  • Verification of compliance with editorial standards and author guidelines;

  • Communication with authors during the initial screening phase.

This stage ensures that only manuscripts aligned with the journal’s scientific and editorial standards proceed to peer review.

Publication Fee (€395)
The publication fee covers the costs associated with the full editorial processing of the article after acceptance, including:

  • Coordination of the peer-review process, ensuring scientific rigour and academic quality;

  • Editorial management and technical-scientific follow-up until the final decision;

  • Technical editing, language revision and formatting according to international standards;

  • Preparation of metadata and DOI assignment;

  • Online publication in open access;

  • Digital archiving and preservation;

  • Indexing and compliance with quality standards required by international databases and indexers, including criteria associated with Scopus.

Submission Procedure

The submission fee must be paid prior to the manuscript's pre-evaluation. Only submissions with confirmed payment will undergo pre-evaluation, and authors will be informed whether the article will proceed to the review process or be rejected.

Authors have 15 days from the date of submission to make the payment. If payment is not completed within this timeframe, NTQR reserves the right to remove the submission from the system.

Important

  • The submission fee is non-refundable, as it covers costs associated with the initial review;
  • Each author may submit only one version of the same article—duplicate submissions are not allowed.

This model ensures that NTQR continues to provide a rigorous and efficient editorial process aligned with the highest scientific standards.
