About the Journal
New Trends in Qualitative Research (NTQR) was established in 2020 by the publisher Ludomedia as a book series, publishing thematic volumes associated with international qualitative research events (volumes 1 to 19). At the end of 2023, NTQR transitioned into a scholarly journal, maintaining its primary objectives: the publication of original scholarly contributions in Qualitative Research, including state-of-the-art reviews, new research perspectives, solutions and/or applications to real-world problems, empirical and/or evaluation studies, among others.
NTQR publishes articles in three languages — Portuguese, Spanish and English — adopting a continuous publication model that provides free, open and immediate access to published content.
Publication Schedule and Publication Model
NTQR follows a continuous publication model, organised into four issues per year, corresponding to a quarterly publication schedule.
Under this model, articles are published individually online as soon as they have successfully completed the peer review, editorial decision-making and production processes, without having to wait for an entire issue to be finalised or published.
Each annual volume of the journal comprises four issues, to which articles are progressively assigned as they become ready for publication. This model ensures the timely dissemination of scholarly research, promoting the rapid sharing of knowledge and providing immediate open access to published articles.
NTQR is committed to maintaining a regular and sustainable publication schedule, ensuring the continuity of its editorial activities and the permanent accessibility of its published scholarly content.
All published articles remain accessible through the journal's website, with previous volumes and issues organised in the Archives section.
