Resumo

Introdução: A artroplastia da anca é uma das cirurgias ortopédicas mais comuns, sobretudo na população em idade mais avançada. A sua realização acontece sobretudo por existência de patologia osteoarticular – artrose da anca e frequentemente por fratura proximal do fémur. Objetivos: Conhecer e sumarizar o conhecimento existente relativamente ao benefício da intervenção da enfermagem de reabilitação no perioperatório da pessoa submetida a artroplastia da anca, afim de justificar a criação e implementação de programas de enfermagem de reabilitação no período perioperatório desta população. Métodos: Realizou-se uma Rapid Review seguindo as guidelines da Cochrane Collaboration`s. Definiu-se a seguinte questão de investigação, tendo por base o acrónimo PI(C)O: Quais os benefícios (Outcome) da intervenção do Enfermeiro Especialista de Reabilitação (EER) (Intervention) no período perioperatório da pessoa submetida a artroplastia da anca (Population)? Resultados: Foram selecionados doze estudos que apresentavam evidência pertinente. Nos estudos foi possível identificar várias intervenções de reabilitação que se encontram no âmbito das competências dos EER, nomeadamente: ensino pré-operatório e sessões de reabilitação motora, incluindo treino de Atividades de Vida Diária (AVD). Estas intervenções estão associadas a uma melhoria da funcionalidade, independência e aumento da força muscular. Promovem o conforto, diminuição da dor e rigidez articular e aumentam a capacidade para a realização das AVD. Aumentam também a qualidade de vida e satisfação com os cuidados de saúde, permitindo reduzir o tempo de recuperação e de internamento hospitalar. Conclusões: A evidência sugere que a existência de equipas de reabilitação no período perioperatório pode ser profícua, quer para os clientes submetidos a artroplastia da anca, quer para as entidades prestadoras de cuidados pelos benefícios de custo-efetividade.
