This new volume of New Trends in Qualitative Research highlights the diversity of qualitative approaches applied to various contexts and contemporary challenges. Phenomenology is explored in nursing education during the pandemic, in the experiences of young women undergoing dialysis, and in the return to face-to-face teaching in times of uncertainty. Poststructuralist Feminist Discourse Analysis and Interpretative Poetics deepen the understanding of human experiences.
Qualitative methodology is also evident in studies on Competency-Based Learning and the use of software for interview analysis, as well as in the logical validation of questionnaires. Meta-synthetic and systematic reviews offer reflections on the impact of technology on health and maternal positions in childbirth. The use of Photovoice to investigate pain in adolescents and the analysis of visual content in art and sexuality further reinforce the methodological diversity of this issue.
Additionally, topics such as mediation in higher education, the observation of digital activism networks, and the application of qualitative research findings are explored. This volume reaffirms the richness of qualitative research and its role in the in-depth understanding of social, educational, and health phenomena.
